I stayed at Grand Honor Hotel Shishi for two consecutive nights during my visit to Shishi. As the flagship model store of Honor Group, its room facilities completely surpassed my impression of traditional high-end hotels, bringing the balance of "Haisi culture+practical comfort" into every accessible detail.
I stayed in a 49.5 square meter executive king room located on the 16th floor. As soon as I opened the door, my first impression was that the space had no redundant design. The transition area at the entrance has been designed with an invisible hanging area, where luggage can be directly spread out without occupying the living space in the bedroom. The wall did not use cheap wallpaper, but instead made artistic coatings with subtle textures, paired with warm embedded ambient lights, quietly blending the artistic conception of "sailing with the wind" in the Haisi culture into light and shadow. It does not appear deliberately stacked, but exudes a sense of luxury everywhere.
The configuration of the bed area is the most surprising. The 2-meter king bed is equipped with a high-density independent spring mattress, which can stably support the shoulders, neck, and waist when lying down, without sinking into it and causing back pain after sleeping for a long time. The bedding is made of high count and high-density all cotton fabric, which feels soft and smooth to the touch but does not feel floaty. I slept through two nights without waking up halfway. Both sides of the bed are equipped with charging sockets with USB and Type-C dual interfaces, eliminating the need to search for power strips everywhere. Mobile phones, headphones, and cameras can be charged simultaneously, which is very friendly for travelers with a lot of electronic devices. The leisure sofa by the window is spacious and thick, with just the right softness and hardness of the cushions. I brewed a cup of tea and sat by the window, overlooking the coastline of Shenhu Bay. The afternoon passed slowly.
The facilities in the bathroom are designed to maximize practicality, with a layout that completely separates dry and wet areas. Even if someone is taking a shower, people outside can still use the washbasin normally. The 74.3 square meter VIP room is even equipped with dual washbasins, so two people can wash up at the same time in the morning without crowding. The large-sized embedded bathtub is facing the scenic spot by the window, filled with hot water to soak in, and looking up, you can see the distant city skyline. Paired with the hotel's free bath salts, the fatigue of a day of browsing quickly dissipates. The water pressure in the shower area is particularly high, with dual mode switching between top spray and handheld showerhead, resulting in even and powerful water output, making the experience of taking a hot shower particularly enjoyable. The toiletries use high-quality natural essential oil series, which ensures that the skin will not become tight or dry after washing. Even the drinks in the mini bar are all free, ranging from local specialty herbal tea to sparkling water, with a variety that exceeds expectations.
The thoughtful design in terms of details can be seen everywhere: the soundproof glass throughout the house completely isolates the sound of traffic from the outside, and even if the main road is downstairs from the hotel after closing the windows, the room is so quiet that you can hear the sound of the clock moving. The lighting of the entire house can be adjusted with just one click through the control panel at the bedside, allowing you to switch between different lighting modes without getting out of bed. The night light is soft and does not flicker, providing enough illumination for the path under your feet. There are two types of bathrobes in the wardrobe, thick and thin, as well as slippers that are suitable for different shoe sizes. Even laundry bags and shoe pulls are prepared in advance, so you don't have to ask for them yourself.
After staying for two nights, my deepest feeling was that the room facilities of Grand Honor Hotel Shishi were never built for the sake of 'showing off skills', and every configuration accurately met the real needs of guests. On this short trip to Shishi, I decided to stop at Grand Honor Hotel Shishi. Just ten minutes after getting off the highway, I arrived at the hotel entrance and the security guard stepped forward to help me pick up my luggage. As soon as I entered, I felt the comfortable atmosphere of a high-end hotel in southern Fujian. The location adjacent to the mountains and the sea is a great advantage. Pushing open the window, you can overlook the coastline of Shenzhen and Shanghai Bay, capturing the city scenery of Shishi and the blue sea and sky together. It is the best way to travel to Shishi.
When I checked in, the staff at the front desk was very friendly. They learned that I was coming to Shishi for the first time. They not only quickly completed the formalities, but also took the initiative to give me a simple guide to local food and attractions. Even which Oyster omelette nearby was the most authentic, they quietly marked me. The deluxe king size room I stayed in has a spacious area of 45 square meters, with a bay window on the 8th floor facing the city landscape. The room blends Minnan culture and sea silk elements into the details, with warm yellow lighting and solid furniture, completely devoid of the icy feeling of many high-end hotels. The bedding is just right in terms of softness and hardness. After a busy day, lying on the bed quickly relieves the fatigue all over the body. The bathroom has a dry wet separation, and the large bathtub faces the window. Taking a hot bath allows you to relax while watching the city lights in the distance.
What impressed me the most was the revolving restaurant on the 22nd floor. I had received countless recommendations before coming here, and this time I specifically booked it for 5:30 pm in the evening. The restaurant will slowly rotate at a constant speed, and you don't need to walk around to see all the city and sea views of Shishi in two hours. At sunset, the orange red sunset slowly sinks behind the coastline, and the entire sky changes from light pink to orange red. The city under my feet lights up with thousands of lights, holding freshly picked seafood in my hand and listening to soft music. That atmosphere is difficult to feel in other restaurants. There are more than 100 kinds of breakfast, from authentic Minnan noodle paste and oyster fry to Cantonese Dim sum and western baking. I haven't tasted all the kinds I want to eat for two days.
The hotel's facilities completely exceeded expectations, with a temperature controlled swimming pool with clean water, a 24-hour gym equipped with professional grade equipment, and even free yoga classes available for reservation. The surrounding area is also particularly convenient for travel. It takes only a few minutes to walk to Jinxing Food Street, Shishi City Museum, and Dehui Square within a two to three kilometer range. If you want to go to Shenhu Bay to see the sea, it can be reached by car in more than 20 minutes. The free parking lot is guided by dedicated personnel, so friends who come by car do not have to worry about finding a parking space. It is only a 30 minute drive from Quanzhou Jinjiang Airport, and whether you are traveling to Shishi for tourism or business, the transportation is very smooth.
